We ask that all members respect the rules as outlined below. These are for the safe handling of our dogs and handlers, and allow us to train most effectively and enjoyably. Thank you for your cooperation.
RULES FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF EVERYONE
All dogs must be under the control of their handlers at all times.
Dogs are not to be hit either by hand, or by any object, under any circumstances.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times. (Unless training for off-lead work in class). Harnesses are not permitted, except under exceptional circumstances. If you are unsure, please check with your trainer.
Handlers must remove all droppings of their dogs, in a plastic bag, and dispose of in the rubbish bin provided.
Handlers must not to wear sunglasses (except for medical reasons), too loose clothing, high heels or thongs/sandals.
Smoking is not allowed whilst training.
Dogs are not to be approached whilst tethered.
Bitches in season must not be brought to training.
THE WEATHER REPORT
There is no training on Sunday mornings if the forecast for Wonthaggi is predicted 30 degrees or above according to the 7pm news on the ABC the Saturday night prior.
There will be no training on Wednesday evenings if the forecast for Wonthaggi is predicted 30 degrees or over according to the 7pm news on the ABC Tuesday evening prior.
Typically we try to train, unless the precipitation is exceptionally heavy. Updates are usually posted on our Facebook Site on the day of training. If no announcement has been made, you can presume that training in still on.
Please also note that poor weather will affect our ability to train with agility equipment. Typically these are confirmed on our Facebook site that morning. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate ask one of our trainers.
